Granted, two years is an awfully long time to wait for a gag payoff…
although i have not seen any direct RPG copying, in ADD dwarves have been known to tell a joke that takes 5 to 8 hours to relate. (3 hours for lead up, 2 hours for the actual joke, and for non dwarven audiences another 3 hours to explain the joke)
