…is Willis aware that the “Cafe as a front” thing was present in Goranger?

      No…can’t…must…restrain…self…

THEY SHARE FREAKING FIGHT FOOTAGE! THAT’S IT! THAT’S THE WHOLE DEAL! IF POWER RANGERS WAS PRESENTING ITSELF AS AN AMERICAN VERSION OF SUPER SENTAI, THEN I COULD SEE THE PROBLEM, BUT IT’S NOT. THEY HAVE THE SAME COSTUMES AND MONSTERS AS A BYPRODUCT OF SHARING FOOTAGE AND THAT’S IT. THE NAMES NOT EVEN THE SAME.

      Huh huh huh huh.

And you know what’s weird? Every year Sentai fans expect Power Rangers to be “faithful to the Sentai”. It’s not. It never is. It’s its own entity with it’s own legacy and it’s own way of doing things. You’d think they’d be used to it by now. But no. Every year it’s the same goddamn thing.

Just watch the freaking Sentai, alright? I don’t need to be told on a regular basis how much a show sucks because they didn’t re-purpose the freaking fight scenes correctly.

Also worth noting is that some of the seasons of power rangers were actually better received in Japan than the series their footage came from.

Frankly, I think Samurai could stand to be a little less like Shikenger. Tzachor likes the original too much, he’s afraid to alter it enough to make it viable. Ah well. Heres hoping for megaforce…

Actually everyone, even the Sentai fans agree that the Refurbished zords in Samurai were better built and put together than in Shinkenger. Shinkenger was quite LQ for the Sentai. Worst season they’ve had in over a decade. Carranger was the best in the 90′s for the Sentai while the space theme almost destroyed it for them. The reverse happened with the rangers, Turbo was very dismal for the Ranger series (even though I thought it was okay) while In Space brought back thousands of fans and pretty much saved the series. Seems to be a drought series for both every 6-7 years.

Also, Death and Taxes are no longer the constants of the universe. Mass Effect has clearly proven that the constants are Taxes and Solitaire.

Ironically the Simpsons will likely be cancelled within the next two years because Fox would make more money off it then :D

I find it amusing that Ethan doesn’t know that Power Rangers was already animated once. Before 2009.

Ethan is well-established to not be a Power Rangers fan. If it were Jacob having this conversation…
