Which is why both the girls were scared of him for the rest of his life, even the times he escaped from his cage. I'm not sure I've seen anything sadder/funnier than cats running away and leaping on furniture to avoid the transparent plastic ball that's chasing them. "Ahhhhhh! That thing's out of his cage again!" "Wait for meeeeeee!" "Mom make him stop!" "But I wanna play with you guys!"
