You know, the hip young rebel instead of the corporate tool in a business suit. But their software is so fucking proprietary that at this point if you want to really individualise, build your own programs, they are the WORST to use. (And not just because of their track record for removing your program from their single, official marketplace and then selling their own version without paying you anything.) What gets me is that Apple/Mac has always tried to market itself as products for the true individualist. You know, the hip young rebel instead of the corporate tool in a business suit. But their software is so fucking proprietary that at this point if you want to really individualise, build your own programs, they are the WORST to use.

I started with WFWG. Was good. W95? Not so much. 98SE? Improved 95! 2000 wasn't made for games as it was pretty much the new NT! And ME was so much fail that I got rid of it and reinstalled 98SE. Used it until XP got SP2 and reinstalled it so much that the serial is still stuck in my head. Then used XPSP2 for years. Tried Vista when it came out and it was just as much of a failure as ME. W7 is the improved Vista and it is good. I think I'm skipping W8 and wait for W9 or whatever it'll be called as it'll be the improved W8! I think every other windows version is okay. Ubuntu IS awesome. So long as you want to do cool techy stuff instead of play mainstream games. But Linux isn't exactly user friendly.
