I love this one because every time I go into a toy store I look for a regular box of Legos like I had when I was a kid and can never find one. I don’t know why that is such a foreign concept now.
That’s why i don’t buy legos anymore, i’ve got all my old sets right here cause they’re better then the new fancy-shmancy ones they sell to little kids that don’t know better cause the old ones…are…better…..crap…
DUDE! I always wanted to RP using the regular little lego guys instead of miniatures! Think of it! The maps could be easily constructed and deconstructed too!
Legos and video games comprised my childhood. So that 80% of Lego sets REQUIRE you to build by the charts and plain Lego buckets of like 600 pieces have gone the way of the Dodo really saddens me.
I kind of subvert this; I’ll buy the themed stuff, but then after I finish it (mostly going by the box, not the instruction booklet) I will tear it apart and make Optimus Prime and reconstruct the original Zelda game and stuff.

gooble gobble!
We accept you! We accept you!
I have to object there.
There are actually also plain sets only with Lego Bricks, and at least Bionicle (and Hero Factory) is freaking awesome.
Well, bionicle’s WERE awesome. Nowadays, they kinda suck. less imagination required. So I rp’d with them! Don’t judge me!

I would totally start playing DnD again if we used Legos instead of figures and dry-erase maps…
Our D&D group use lego minifigs for most of the party. Also for wargaming there is a game “Brick Wars” which is a pretty fun game
I miss them nontheless:(
I have a bin with 1000 plain Lego blocks in it… My bother has 3… They are at just about every store I’ve been to and looked at Legos…
hmm, odd guest strip, i wish i had my golden bricks..

Ug! This reminds me of my trouble of ordering Bic grip roller pens. Why can’t I buy them in store without ordering 300 boxes of them?!

10 years from now, the kid’s tables in hospital’s waiting rooms be completely redesigned.
…they DO still sell boxes of regular legos, I’ve SEEN them in the toysrus I work at
I recognize the art style, but can’t place it. Anyone able to tell me the guest artist’s name?
The artist (Jeff Zugale) is tagged and linked below the strip.
