But I blame the movie for people thinking the cartoon was dark and gritty. I think it rose expectations of what the show should be like to them now. It's definately one of the darkest animated incarnations of our guys to date. Admittedly, it's also awesome, but so was Transformers Animated, which was definately capable of its own occasional dark moments. Then again, you're talking to a woman with Pinkie Pie as her avatar, so what do I know? If they did, they'd realize it wasn't dark and gritty AT ALL. One of the wondrous things about being a security guard out in the middle of nowhere was the fact that I got to watch movies all night long and got paid for it. Not very well, mind you, but still...getting paid to watch movies is awesome. So I found all the old episodes, ripped them to my flash drive, and brought them with me. It was great for nostalgia, but not dark and gritty at all. Remember, this is a KID'S SHOW!!! :) Also, Jetfire rules.
