As a lad, I had a love-hate relationship with my Megatron for exactly this reason. He clearly had the best alt-form (he was a child-sized GUN!), but was mind-bogglingly difficult to transform. I think I ended up giving up and just figuring out how to transform one of the Seekers into something vaguely gunlike.

Child Sized? If I recall correctly, Megatron was nearly a photo-realistic Walther P.38… Full Scale
