Yeah…
“We’re tiny, we’re toony,
we’re all a little loonie
coz Brian
Mulroney
invented GST!”
The Canadian dollar has been in coin format for a lo-o-ong time. It’s got a Loon on it so we, as a Nation, got clever and dubbed it the “Loonie.”
When it was announced that the two-dollar bill would also be replaced with a coin, I got excited coz *for sure* it would be called the “Dubloon” (or “Dubloonie”) coz it was a double-Loonie, dontcha know? Cool, huh? Like the old Spanish Dubloons..!
*looks at his State Coin collection map on his wall, hangs his head in shame*
Hey, I have a complete state map, so I’m a nerd too.
I did when I was eight. It died a horrible death one fateful day when I wanted to go out and buy some candy, but I was out of cash.
I used to have a collection too. I have no idea what happened to it (I think my mom has it).
That said, I probably have at least 1/3 of the state quarters in my “vending machine fund”.
I had one of those when I was younger, but I gave it to my brother when I got to middle school.
I still have one. Not complete.
I’ve got one. Can’t wait for it to appreciate massively in value! Right now it’s worth almost $12.50!
You know the state coin maps for the US? There’s one for Euro coins where you put them in the slot for where they were minted.
Yeah…

Nope.
“Twonie.”
…facepalm…
