honestly I didn’t do any warp/cannon hijinx and I’m still pretty sure I beat that iteration of mario in under ten hours.

It’s actually not that hard… Get the cannon from W1, then cannon from W5, then beat World 8. Took me about an hour doing it this way.

I could be wrong, but I think they’re talking about the frustration of not having enough game to play. Depth would make the game longer, for instance.
“…and finished it in four hours.”
She’s complaining about the lack of length causing an emotional void, not just the void itself.
