   Is this where I point out that adding colours to plastic in general can weaken the molecular bonds in plastic, so lighter colours are more durable and deep or dark colours aren’t?

     As well as the fact that darker colors, when warped or bent, have more noticeable lines of stress.

       Wheras in rubber toys (such as dog toys), it’s the opposite: Black is the simplest compound and therefore the strongest. The other colours make the rubber softer and more appropriate for smaller dogs or teething children.
