Wheras in rubber toys (such as dog toys), it’s the opposite: Black is the simplest compound and therefore the strongest. The other colours make the rubber softer and more appropriate for smaller dogs or teething children.

As well as the fact that darker colors, when warped or bent, have more noticeable lines of stress.
