Ohhh yeah. Had that happen to me today in fact. Over facebook nonetheless. It seems that just because I’m a Republican and a Christian, I’m a punching bag to a former High School AP Student, atheist and Democrat. I never comment on his posts, but because I post some stuff he takes it on himself to try and ‘correct’ me instead of trying to have an intelligent discussion.
Now I know there are Republicans that are like that too, but he loves trolling on me for some reason. He and this guy above could use a lesson to leave well enough alone if they disagree with me or Ethan, but nope, it’s all about them and if they’re right or not. Heh, and the funny part is they accuse us (Ethan- in this case and me- in the a-fore mentioned case) of hate speech. Ethan’s opinion of something got dissed and so did mine.
If he’s attacking expressions of preference, like maybe “I
think individuals need to be more self-sufficient,” then I sympathize. But if you’re regurgitating counter-factual propaganda, like “Obama is not a citizen” or “Cutting government jobs will boost the economy,” then I’m sorry, that’s fair game. And, again provided the situation is the latter and not the former, I find it encouraging to hear of more liberals standing up and fighting for the truth.
Seeing as how The Messiah *IS* a velociraptor, if he were to arrive riding on *another* velociraptor then the apocalypse would be more than awesome.
Much, much more.
This attitude is why so many people stopped shopping at the Silver Snail (Queen St W in Toronto) in the mid-’90′s. Nothing was ever said aloud, but the disdain and snobbery one felt for asking for something “lame” was really too much for most of us. Worse snobbery against the really talented comic book artists that went in there and made the mistake of being recognised.
Then about a year or so ago, they announced they were closing shop and going online or something.
They looked still open last Thursday when I passed ‘em on the streetcar…
Tsk. Drama Queens.
An aquaintance of mine once said this exact same thing about a game that a friend of ours ran for us. Only in his version he said (in the middle of a conversation about how much people liked the game) that everyone who liked it was stupid and a bad person.
He was told his invitation to play in that particular game (or any White Wolf game as it was Mage) run by that GM was rescinded until he apologized. I don’t believe he has to this day.
Huuuuh.
Sad thing? I know people like that. Damn trolls.
I “knew” people like that…
Then I set them on fire…

really open minded to lead off with “counter-factual propaganda” as a descriptor……I’m sure that wasn’t a trolling remark
God, I fear that people could actually act like that in the real world. And I mean, AWAY from a computer.
Eventually, the real life public forum is going to turn in to the, well, public forum…l33t speak and trolls, everywhere. Repent for the end is nigh!
And the Messiah will return riding on a velociraptor dinosaur.
dammit, you make the Apocalypse sound awesome
And the Messiah will also have an army comprised of Bear Cavalry and Sharks with Frickin’ Laser Beams!
Seeing as how The Messiah *IS* a velociraptor, if he were to arrive riding on *another* velociraptor then the apocalypse would be more than awesome.

My personal theory is that all of Shortpacked! takes place inside a chatroom.
Ethan is deciding if he should just leave without paying or not.
either that or just scan it himself. he knows how to work the register, right?
That toy looks yellow to me….

That guy reminds me of The Alchemist from The Venture Brothers. This comic is 100x funnier if you give him the voice of Dana Snyder.
Yellow.
That toy is yellow, sir.
