I have seriously never laughed so hard at a comic in my life. Apparently the appeal is to that extent limited to me, but still. WOW.

The missile I get, but why does Superman need a launcher?

      Toys toys toys!

I love this strip so much. I thought the same thing looking at every clunky accessory that was sold with Spiderman, Superman ect..

Supers dont need ANY of that extra shit! (Except batman!)

Would a Doctor Who reference to Sontarans clogging the atmosphere with gas, only to be stopped by burning the atmosphere, be appropriate with this audience?

A true Doctor Who fan would know he is only known as “The Doctor”

there is no such thing as a true fan. you REALLY like something? hooray! you’re a fan! there are no ”levels” to it.

also, maybe he just name himself after his favorite SHOW, not the main character from it (or he just really really like those non-canon 60′s movies)

Actually, my name is pronounced “Doctor Whoa”.

It’s the title of an unproduced script written in the late eighties, as an Americanized version of the British tv show, starring Keanu Reeves.

It was scrapped because clearly nobody would ever watch a film about Keanu travelling through time in a phone box and saying “Whoa” a lot. That would be silly.

And yet this idea sounds a lot better then let say, half the scripts suggested for the Fox movie

No, there are fake fans. Those are the people who pretend they like something just to impress others.
