      thinking of ethan as a sexual being never really flew for me till recently and current storyline threatens to rip it all away.

    In the late ’70′s there were G.I. Joe dolls in Brazil that were the same size as a Ken doll. They had proper cloth clothing, and fuzzy buzz-cuts. They were VERY COOL.
    I was jealous that my boy cousins had such cool dolls.
    Yes.
    They were dolls.
    To call them action figures is to deny them their full doll status. (The term “action figure” is the green ribbon handed out for “participation” so you think you actually got something cool. It’s a consolation prize, man!) I didn’t know such cool G.I. Joes existed. And you should’ve seen the helicopter..! Shit, man! I never saw anything like it in North America my entire childhood!

    …the fuzzy hair, even! Not painted! Real buzz-cut!

    I am still in awe, 33 years later.
