Actually there’s a rather easy way to cut costs without cutting quality. In fact here are three simple methods… commonly used by British shows such as Dr. Who.
1. The first is to cut season length, instead of running the usual American season length of 20+ episodes, to cut it down to around 12 or 13.
2. Have multiple filmed at once, either telling one story or multiple different stories focusing on different characters.
3. Have a low number of main characters with high amounts of single episode characters.
Trek’s got a new movie and Wars has a TV show.
Wait…does that seem…off to anyone else?
……..mebbe.
Star Wars is getting a live action TV show too, sometime in the near future (when they have figured out how to cut costs without cutting quality)
